This study aims to evaluate the thermal variation that occurs in the oral environment; predict the number of thermal cycles and temperature variation which occurs during certain time periods and compare the results of the bond strength of sticks when subjected to various forms of aging. For this purpose, a wireless thermal sensor will be installed in the palate of a removable device of six volunteers, and these are monitored for three days, to develop a new thermal cycling protocol. After this step, 40 ceramic blocks (Vita Mark II) are cemented together (N = 20) and were divided into five groups (n = 5) and cut into slices. The slices will be submitted to the following types of aging: immediate test (without aging); storage in water for 30 days; thermal cycling protocol developed in this study, intra-oral cycling, and thermal cycling protocol established by ISO 11405 (2003). The slices are cut into sticks, which will be submitted to microtensile test. The failure analysis is performed in a stereomicroscope. The values of bond strength will be tabulated and subjected to statistical analysis consistent with the found results. (AU)
