There is evidence that cell cycle changes are present in the pathogenesis of endometriosis. Study of endometrium of patients patients showed changes in the levels of p27 (cell cycle regulatory protein), in which, the significant reduction of its levels in the stroma and epithelium could be related to early stages and progression of disease.Transcription factor DP-1 (TFDP1) is gene protein linked to estrogen encoder. The encoded proteins are vital in the control of transcription activity of a series of genes, involving the cell cycle in G1 phase to S, the same stage on which acts to p27.Studies show that the largest expression of TFDP1 is related to tumor progression. Some subtypes of breast tumors that have higher expression of TFDP1 had a higher rate of tumor proliferation, due to greater estrogen action which are submitted. This same correlation was found in hepatocarcinomas, where the highest TFDP1 activity promoted the growth of tumor cells by their Prosecutor action on the cell cycle. This study aims to evaluate the TFDP1 expression in the endometrium of patients with deep endometriosis for being known disease estrogen dependent and sometimes behavior similar to neoplasms, as quoted previously. The cells used in this study were obtained from the Bank of endometrial cells in the Department of Gynaecology Pelvic of the Federal University of São Paulo.Real Time PCRgene expression, using method of SYBR Green RT-PCR kit from Qiagen company with (QuantiTect Primer Assay) of 5 patients with deep endometriosis, and 6 controls were evaluetet .The results of RT-PCR reactions were analyzed in the PCR Data Analysis software V 3.5 provided by Qiagen company (www.qiagen.combrproductsgenes20and20pathwaysdata-analysis-center-overview-page?UIDa012607d-2046-4f64-b9b9-13c2834f3067)
