RECALLING LIVES: MEMORIES OF OLD WORKERS

Abstract

The research for the Masters is to analyze memories related to work, elderly people who participate in the Elderly Community Center of Franca-SP, discussing memories and experiences, which are often missed by not valuing the past. These older people who contributed to his contemporaries and for us. The interest of this theme is a reflection of the reality experienced by the researcher in the previous survey titled, "The Impact of Open University of the Third Age (UnATI) in the socialization process of the elderly unatianos Campus Franca / SP", where it was observed that the elderly respondents remitted to constantly interesting reports of the working period. The subjects of current research will be two elderly Elderly Community Centre CCI-health center and two Elderly Community Lions Club Sobral and Social Workers institutions. We believe that the chosen universe conducive to exchange experiences, and consequently, souvenirs and memorabilia. For this purpose, we use the tools of oral history interview for the elderly and semi-structured interviews with professionals, with analysis in both theoretical-methodological materialism of the historical dialectic. Therefore, we propose to perform analysis and reflection of reality presented by the narrative of "older workers", in order to consider the value and life stories brought by the memory, and to encourage other researchers to pay heed to the issues that underlie aging.
