Abstract

Software Engineering has evolved significantly in recent decades seeking to establish technical criteria, methods and tools for software production, in consequence of the increasing use of computer based systems in virtually all areas of human activity. This use causes an increasing demand for quality and productivity, both from the standpoint of the production process as the point of view of the products generated.Aggregated activities have been introduced throughout the development process, including the activities of Verification, Validation and Testing (VV \ & T), in order to minimize the occurrence of errors and associated risks. Among these techniques the test activity is one of the most used, thus becoming one of the elements to provide evidence of the reliability of software in addition to other activities. The interest in testing activity increases as their absence directly influences the final quality of software produced, where several researchers have investigated the different test criteria, seeking to obtain a test strategy with low cost of implementation, but at the same time, with great ability to reveal errors. Despite the research in this area being diversified in different lines, there are gaps relating to the establishment of literature, particularly directed to specific problems of some fields of application, for example, the case of Virtual Reality environments. In this context the project aims to contribute to the definition and automation of test criteria, study related to the Scene Graph for the scope of Virtual Reality systems and ultimately the development of a tool for automating the testing activity.
