Stress distribution of prosthesis supported by pre-tilted implants

Abstract

Until now the only alternative for the correction of the inclination of implants in prosthetic rehabilitation was bent using intermediaries. However, they can interfere with the transmission of force leaving the non-parallel to the long axis of the implant. Furthermore, case of excessive height of the intermediate complex-crown de torque can cause fracture of the screw. To solve these problems will be launched in the domestic market pre-tilted implants (experimental) (8 °, 12 °, and 20 °), which will be tested in this study. Thus, this study will evaluate, through photoelastic analysis, the biomechanical behavior of screwed prostheses on implants: conventional (0 °) and experimental pre-tilted (8 °, 12 °, and 20 °), with crowns single and 3-unit piece. To do this, eight models are made of resin photoelastic PL-2, implanted with 13x4 mm (Osteofit). For each model will be made crowns single and 3-unit pieces. Models will be positioned in a circular polariscope and 100-N axial and oblique (45 degrees) loading will be applied in the occlusal surface of the crowns by using a universal testing machine (EMIC). The stresses were photographically recorded and qualitatively analyzed using software (Adobe Photoshop). The photographic records of the samples will be analyzed to determine the direction of propagation and intensity of stress, according to the qualitative analysis. To facilitate the analysis will be divided as follows: in accordance with the number of fringes of high intensity (green transition pink) in accordance with the area of stress distribution.(AU)
