Abstract

The phenomenon of ischemia and reperfusion (I / R) is present so often during some surgical procedures such as coronary angioplasty, organ transplantation, surgical procedures involving the clamping of vessels, and myocardial revascularization. This is the situation where an organ or tissue is exposed to an ischemic event, which determines a result with varying degrees of impact varying from one cell dysfunction to necrosis, and after some time reestablishes the flow. Once blood flow is restored (reperfusion) of the affected area, a new injury can be established, leading to damage phones1.Objective - the objective of this study is to analyze the use of pantoprazole in protecting kidneys subjected to preconditioning in rats under general anesthesia with isoflurane. Material and methods - the animals are anesthetized with isoflurane inhalation in inspired concentration of 3% to 4%, maintaining, and included randomized into four study groups Group C: inhalation anesthesia Group IR: inhalation anesthesia + renal ischemia Group P: inhalation anesthesia + pantoprazole PIR Group: inhalation anesthesia + + pantoprazole renal ischemia. All groups will undergo laparotomy and right nephrectomy for the purpose of establishing the right kidney as control of the left kidney after ischemia.(AU)
