Theoretical and Practical Proposal of PhD Research in Arts Scene related to the use of improvisations in the process of dance creation. This research considers two methods of improvisation developed by Rolf Gelewski and the possibilities of relationship between dance and elements of Visual Language and Musical. Initially, the project proposes to recover the historic of the artistic and pedagogical work of Gelewski. Gelewski was a dancer, dance teacher and researcher who served in Brazil from the 1960s and 1980s.In a second step, the project will develop proposals for improvisation with volunteer artists from the Art Institute of Unicamp, using elements of Visual Language and Musical to stimulate the creation of dance. In this step, methods contained in the publication "See Hear Move: two methods and reflections about improvisation in dance" (1973) will be used to explore music as a driving power and encouragement to the movement. The research intends to expand these methods to the development of improvisations from the works of Visual Art, specifically abstract and figurative paintings by modern artists, such as Kandinsky, Pollock, Matisse e Cèzanne. Finally, the research will develop an artistic and creative work with the volunteer artists, from improvisations and laboratories of creation to elaborate a scenic spectacle, the result of a collective creative process. At this stage, new relationships and interrelationships between movements, images and sounds will established from the group's own creations. Sound/ Image/ Movement that generates image, which creates movement, that generates sound, which creates scene, that generates spectacle... And where was it that started this whole creation?
