Abstract

The present project aims the study of work conditions in Alagoas´ sugarcane agroindustry and its reflects on the workers health. The problem to be studied is the analyses of the work conditions and health in the face of the actual moment of Alagoas´ sugarcane agroindustry: characterized by the productive restructuration and by the intensification of the work in the manual cut of sugarcane. The increase of the effort demanded in this activity produces beyond the physical suffering, the moral and psychic suffering. The present project justifies itself once it will fulfill at least two gaps in relation to the approach of rural workers health: the absence of researches that aims the physical health of the workers combined with the moral and psychic suffering; and the lack of studies about the sugarcane plantations in Alagoas that relates with the researches made in São Paulo´s sugarcane plantations. This way, the goal is to contribute to the reflections about the connection between the illness and the labor in the cut of sugarcane. The methodology will be of qualitative matter (interviews recorded and transcribed) and also qualitative, beside clinical examination and consult in secondary sources. (AU)
