Abstract

The main objective of this research is to characterize the behavior of boron hardenable steels 22MnB5 and 27MnBCr5 after hot and warm stamping, influenced by the heating temperature and cooling rate. Such processes are very advantageous for many industries due to the improvement of mechanical properties, reducing costs and raw material. Currently, there are few studies on warm stamping, especially with boron steels. The activities will be held at the Laboratory of Metal Forming, School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Campinas (UNICAMP). (AU)
