This Project aims to reveal and analyze critically the social dynamics existing in Haiti, which were put into practice after the earthquake in 2010 and played a key role in ensuring the maintenance of order and the survival of many homeless. Taking into account the purpose and duration of this research, a specific field was delimited in the south region of the country, more precisely in the city of Jérémie. Firstly, we intend to discuss the historical evolution and the actual situation of Haiti after the natural disaster. Secondly, we intend to explore the relevant issues for the anthropological research by deeply analyzing the role of the State and the actions of the international humanitarian aid organizations in this country. Finally, we intend to build a critical and useful interpretation for the anthropological field discussion, by using a research focused on dynamics and social mechanisms articulated in the context of Haitian civil society.
