Abstract Expected to cover the period between November 15th and December15th, the research practice overseas aims to narrow the methodologies between Paulo Emilio Salles Gomes and André Bazin. Considering this, it will be vitally important to collect articles and correspondences among the two critics, which are kept in the "Cinémathèque Française" archives. Possibly, this work will help us to suppress gaps and to test de feasibility of some hypotheses, in order to explain the methodological peculiarity employed by Salles Gomes both in the analysis of German films and in his conception on the "Semana de Cultura Cinematográfica", which happened in 1959.
