Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the actions developed in primary care to promote adherence to tuberculosis treatment in the perception of patients and health professionals in Campinas-SP. This is a cross-sectional epidemiological study will consist of two categories of informants: patients with tuberculosis of the municipality in treatment in the period of data collection, and health professionals the primary care of the city, participating in case management of tuberculosis. Data will be collected through interviews using structured four forms: I - Characterization of patients and treatment of tuberculosis; II - Characterization of health professionals who participate in the treatment of tuberculosis cases; III and V - Analysis of actions developed by primary care services for adherence to tuberculosis treatment (patients' perception of III-and perception of health professionals - IV), with variables constructed based on "adherence to long-term Therapies: evidence for action", "Manual of Recommendations for Control of tuberculosis, "and the series of articles" Best practices for the care of patients with tuberculosis, "and previous studies that address the aspects of greatest relevance to the membership and adherence to tuberculosis treatment. The variables used for the characterization of patients with tuberculosis (form I), health professionals (form II) and the organization of care for TB patients will be analyzed using techniques of exploratory analysis, using frequency distribution, measures of central tendency and variability. For forms III and IV will be made to compare the perceptions of patients and health professionals regarding the actions taken to promote adherence to tuberculosis treatment through multiple correspondence factor analysis.
