Abstract

The benefits of Roundup Ready technology are expressive, and the adoption of this technology by farmers is a fact, supporting the rapid growth of RR soybean areas, but results of recent studies indicates that glyphosate sprayed in RR soybean may also influence the nutrient balance, generate phytotoxic effects, affect photosynthesis, rhizosphere, the biomass accumulation, the synthesis of amino-acids and secondary compounds. But many doubts remains, and they need to be elucidated in the scientific and technical, involving the question of genetically modified soybean under glyphosate application. Because of this fact it is necessary to search for information to diagnose the real consequences of the glyphosate use. This study aims to evaluate the impact of different rates, management and glyphosate formulations, in RR soybeans in different production environments. For this will be carried out two main experiments in two agricultural year, at different locations, and additional studies in other areas, and greenhouse studies, using a 2X2X5 factorial arrangement (managements X rate X formulations), totaling 20 treatments, which will be evaluated in several variables. From the results achieved in this project is expected to characterize the real issue concerning the use of glyphosate in RR soybean at field, finding possible rates that are harmful to plant performance, physiology, nutritional balance, seed quality and yield production.
