Abstract

This PhD project has as goal the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new substances with potential antifungal activity, using Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts as substrate. These new substances were planned based on the models, available in the literature, for the prediction of antifungal activity. By using a new synthetic strategy we intend to prepared new substances to be tested against a panel of fungi strains. The results of this evaluation should allow the discovery of hits that it will be used as lead compounds for new antifungal agents. (AU)
