Abstract

Eclipta alba is a medicinal plant used as anti-venom serum, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and hepatoprotective, and its chemical and pharmacological profile have a vast literature. It is produces flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins and coumestans. The aim of this project is the isolation of active compounds with neuroprotective activity on the line of pheochromocytoma PC12 cells subjected to oxidative stress by exposure to hydrogen peroxide and ²-amyloid peptide.(AU)
