Abstract

This proposal aims to make possible the success of a significant association of activities within the scope of "Project of Post-Doctoral Research in the Country" "Eisenstein Century, potential confluences between the film and the arts of Russian extraction." It is researching the primary sources of the object studied: text, images and documents of Sergei Eisenstein, whose location is in Eisenstein Research Center, affiliated to the State Central Museum of Cinema in Moscow. Search up and also get acquainted with the workshops of the most significant artists and contemporary Russian art collective, relevant to this project. With this proposal for Stage Research Grant Abroad (BEPE) is intended to fulfill three main objectives. The first goal is to scale, in situ, the legacy of Eisenstein to that in the medium and long term, this can be translated directly from Russian by researchers and colleagues from the Graduate Program in Literature and Culture of the Russian DLO/FFLCH/USP who work with the LERUSS Laboratory (Russian Studies) at the same institution. The second objective is to select, along with Naum Kleiman, lead researcher of the Center Eisenstein, articles, pictures and documents that may set the agenda of a special dossier on Eisenstein, bilingual, for its series of "research notebooks kinoruss" (www.kinoruss. com.br), launched in November 2011 as part of the Research Project E. XXI, for free distribution. Finally, the third objective is to visit studios where artists work, as well as contemporary Russian art collective, which were investigated by the means provided on the network web and some little literature about them in Brazil. As underlying purpose, but not least, are the activities of capturing images and sounds, and the preparation of working notes to be later transformed into an essay in video and articles. In additionthe contact with this center reveals itself very important for future academic and scientific exchange with the USP. We highlight the uniqueness of the initiative of the Brazilian research proposed here and the host institution abroad, unique in its area of expertise and holds the collection of documents on/of Sergei Eisenstein and the History of Russian Cinema, as well as internationally distinguished the high level of scientific production.
