Abstract

With the advent of the digital age, there is a need for a critical analysis of Teacher Education Courses to ensure that future teachers are being prepared for the challenge of thinking critically and help students to communicate in technological situations both inside and outside the classrooms. This project aims at verifying the teacher education related to the use of technologies in a Teacher Education Course. For its development, it will be used concepts related to digital literacy, teacher education, sociocultural theory and collaborative learning. As for the research instruments, it will be used a questionnaire, video recordings, the final report of the students, reflective diary of the teacher-researcher and the students' comments in an on-line forum. It is argued, therefore, that theoretical and practical experiences during the undergraduate course through collaborative learning in the virtual context can contribute to increase future teachers' awareness and reflection about the use, or not, of technological tools in foreign languages classes.
