This research aims to examine the everyday life and the forms of sociability of Midshipman of the Naval Academy, to determine the implications of the training received and years of socialization passed by these individuals in this institution. Within its own notion of "military person", it will be seen their views on war, territory, discipline and defense, taken from the Navy's native categories. Based on previous works in anthropology of the military, this research intend to find possible links between the experience in a military institution and the adoption of new habits by students (aspirants) seeking to understand how one is built by the particular world view of the navy, that is, as happens in the passage from a civil world to a military one. Thus, we will try to approach to the anthropological point of view a force that operates on a particular place: the sea.(AU)
