This project presents a proposal to complete the assembly of a physical model of a transmission line representation using single-phase modified modified À circuits. The classical structure of À circuits does not consider the influence of frequency and this causes significant errors in calculations of currents and voltages propagated by the line considering high frequency phenomena. Thus, in the classical structure of the À circuit, RL parallel blocks can be inserted for simulating the frequency influence on the parameters of the transmission line. The physical model under construction is based on a mathematical model developed by a research group from Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering of Ilha Solteira. This research group has received financial support from the FAPESP. The mathematical model is solved using the discussed technique of state variables in conjunction with the numerical method trapezoidal integration. The results of mathematical modeling will be compared with results obtained by the major computer programs used for simulation of transients in electrical networks. These are programs like EMTP (Electromagnetic Transient Programs). (AU)
