Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the conflicts loving vicarious and/or experienced by youth people, considering a gender perspective and types of emotional-sexual relationships (heterosexual, gay, and lesbian). The theoretical and methodological base constructivist consider such mental representations produced in narratives about everyday conflicts, especially the concept of organizing models, such as building cognitive, emotional, and cultural. Thus, we will investigate the conflicts of love through the collective application of questionnaires dealing with the theme focusing on or vicarious experiences of 150 college students (18-24 years) from three different groups of sexual orientation (heterosexual, gay, and lesbian), distributed follows as the affective-sexual orientation and gender/sex: 50 heterosexuals (25 men and 25 women), 50 gays (men), 50 lesbians (women). The analysis will be guided by the definition of the organizing model, noting its components: the elements abstracted and retained as significant; the meanings assigned to the elements, and the implications and/or relationships between elements and meanings. We will seek to identify the types of conflicts experienced / vicarious seconded by young people and how they / others and / her partner / the act, think, and feel about them, yet we will establish relations between different groups of affective and sexual orientation (heterosexual, gay and lesbian) and gender category (men and women).
