Abstract The idea of this project arose during the development of a research in which it was compared abstracts, written in Portuguese and English, taken from the Brazilian journal "Cadernos de Traduçao". Based on Genre Analysis approach, this research aims to analyze rhetorical structures and linguistic elements found in 72 abstracts taken from publications rated Qualis A1 by Capes in the subareas of Anthropology, Political Science and Linguistics. For this purpose, we use as methodology the model developed by Bhatia in 1993 for the abstract section, checking the relevance of this model to the subfields chosen. In addition, it will be compared the data found in the three subareas in order to find differences and similarities among them. | |
