Abstract

The ovarian follicular population and the number os Sertoli cells may impair fertility in cattle be a predictor of ovarian response to superovulation treatments or ovarian aspiration (oocyte) commonly used in biotechnology playback. In males is correlated to the volume of sperm production in adult male, allowing the animal a better rate of fertility. Serum anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) has been used as an indicator of the size of the follicular reserve and as a functional marker of Sertoli cells. The main aiming is to evaluated the morphological development of fetal testicular and ovarian Nellore cattle. Will be collected embryos and fetuses of Nellore cows in slaughterhouses in the Araçatuba-SP region and determined its sex and ages. Is morphometric evaluation of the germ cells of embryos, and ovarian follicles in females and Sertoli cells of males by histological sections of fetal ovaries and testes. Serum concentrations of the hormones FSH, LH, progesterone, testosterone, estradiol, leptin, IGF-I and AMH will be measured by RIA both fetuses and mothers. The results are compared by ANOVA with repeated measures and by Pearson linear correlation.
