The aim of the study is to evaluate the behavior of a IPS e.max CAD (inLab Cerec, Sirona, Bensheim, Germany) all-ceramic restoration after different luting protocols and surface treatments. 70 bases will be made of a material similar to dentin (NEMA grade G10, International Paper, Hampton, SC, USA) that have dimensions milled to simulate the tooth preparation and root anatomy. The root portion is covered with polyether (Impregum, 3M/ESPE, Sumaré, SP) to reproduce the physiological mobility, and will be included in polyurethane. After the evaluation of cement thickness, the crowns will be cleaned with distilled water in an ultrasonic bath for 5 min and dried. Subsequently, the crowns will be submitted to surface treatments as: 1 - Cement zinc oxide, 2 - glass ionomer cement; 3 - conditioning with hydrofluoric acid (HF) 10% (20s) + Silane (1 min .) + dual resin cement; 4 - Conditioning with HF 10% (20 s) + Silane (1 min.) + oven heat treatment (HT) at 100 ° C (2 min.) + dual resin cement; 5 - Silane (1 min.) + dual resin cement; 6 - Silane (1 min.) + HT oven at 100 °C (2 min.) + dual resin cement; 7 - Self-Adhesive Resin Cement. The thermomechanical cycling (ERIOS cycler, model ER-37000) will be done with a load of 100 N at 2,000,000 cycles with a frequency of 4 Hz. For the fracture strength analyses, a load cell of 1000 kgf with speed of 1 mm/min will be used. After the mechanical test, two specimens of each group will be evaluated by scanning electron microscopy. The numerical values (n = 10) obtained for the fracture of the specimens will be subjected to statistical analysis ANOVA one-way and the Tukey's test (± = 0.05). (AU)
