Why is one of the more serious tumors of skin tumors, with high mortality when diagnosed late. Prevention campaigns, skin self-examination, dermoscopy, protocols more efficient therapeutic approach has enabled early diagnosis in the last decade. Therefore, the epidemiology of cutaneous melanoma is of interest to all those who care for patients with melanoma, including surgeons, dermatologists, oncologists and primary care physicians to the development of new prevention campaigns and treatment, expansion of existing knowledge and publishing data to meet the professionals who do not have familiarity with the disease.
