Abstract

In order to relax the structure and to reduce implementation costs of control systems, communication networks are employed as a central component of present architectures. Due to this practical concern, this research project has as its main goal the study of control and state estimation of networked dynamical systems, with bandwidth limitations on the communication channel. The analysis is focused on the development of optimal control results and of self-triggered control design techniques. Practical problems will be solved in order to validate the applicability of the obtained strategies.
