This proposal is aimed at development of nanowires for biosensors application. Currently, nanotechnology field has been highlighted by the extreme sensitivity of biosensor based nanowires. As they have virtually the same size as the molecules that are detected, these nanosensors could revolutionize the diagnoses way are made in medical and biological. The first studies will focus on production and characterization of multi-segmented nanowires using different metals (nickel, silver, gold) and polymers (pyrrole), which will be made by the electrochemical deposition process. The nanowires will be characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The next step will be studied further alternative for the immobilization of enzymes for preparing biosensors. The fabricated devices will be used for the direct determination of glucose. Thus, it is expected to obtain a methodology less costly and time of analysis.
