Abstract

To characterize the Long Latency Auditory Evoked Potentials (complex waves P1-N1-P2 and P300) in normal hearing children, delineating a normal standard for this population. Methodology: a longitudinal clinical study in a group of 15 normal hearing children, from 7 to 12 years old, of both genders. The Long Latency Auditory Evoked Potentials (complex waves P1-N1-P2 and P300) with acoustic stimulation presented in sound field system will be recorded in three different times: baseline, three and nine months after the initial evaluation. Scientific contributions: For evaluating the maturation of the auditory system on the initial, after three and nine months of the first evaluation, will be possible to observe the changes occurred in the Central Nervous System, considering maturational aspects of the auditory system, and this way, to delineate a normal standard for this age group.(AU)
