From the Industrial Revolution, changes in land surface intensified by the rapid growth of cities and urban environmental problems have grown proportionately affecting the quality of life of city dwellers. Thus, some events are occurring more frequently, such as increased rainfall, increased air pollution, decrease in relative humidity and air temperature increased, creating a new local climate - the urban climate. In this sense, this research has been central aimed at analyze the urban climate of the cities: Assis,Candido Mota, Maracaí and Tarumã, from the perspective of the thermal field, the main responsible for the production of climatic characteristics of the cities. Among these, the first medium size and the others small size, located in the western state of Sao Paulo. Thus, the hypothesis of this project is that the cities studied, even though the medium and small size, already have changes in thermal and hygrometric field, since changes have had on its surface by urbanization. As a research method we will use the Urban Climate System proposed Monteiro (1976), considering the thermodynamic subsystem based on the channel of human perception of thermal comfort. Geoecology and geourbanos attributes will be classified in the cities studied. Later, there will be collection of weather information through collection points permanent and mobiles simultaneously in all cities proposals, to see how each affects the temperature and humidity on the performance of these weather systems. The information collected will enable the preparation of letters of isotherms and isoígras, so as to draw the profile the urban climate of cities in the upper atmospheric systems.Keywords: urban climate, thermal field of the cities, air temperature and relative humidity.
