Abstract

In this study we propose to study the search for antiproliferative drug accumulated in the ethanol extract from leaves of Campomanesia adamantium and Campomanesia guaviroba (Myrtaceae). For this purpose, the methodology will be suitable for in vitro evaluation of antiproliferative activity against human tumor cell lines and the study will be used in vivo model of Ehrlich tumor. The phytochemical study will aim at identifying the major constituents assets. Initially we will get the profile of the active extracts (TLC, HPLC, ESI-MS/MS), allowing the identification of some substances known directly in crude extracts. The substances cannot be identified in first step,we will be submitted extracts to fractionation, guided by antiproliferative activity. The substances isolated and purified will be held structural elucidation using spectroscopic analysis (UV, IR, NMR (1D and 2D) ESI-MS/MS). The fractions that are experiencing the best antiproliferative activity against cell lines will be tested in vivo. Thus, the study will be conducted with C. adamantium and C. Guaviroba to search for substances with antiproliferative activity, to obtain new sources of pharmaceutical ingredients.
