Abstract

The possibility to evaluate the motor abilities and of process of children with cerebral paralysis in regular education can be an efficient strategy to make possible the interdisciplinarity between occupational therapists and teachers in the search of alternatives that make possible the success of the inclusion of such children. So these professionals can rely on an instrument called Evaluation to of the Motor Abilities and Process - Scholar Version or School - AMPS. It is about a standardized instrument of occupational therapy developed to figure out the functional performance of the child in the execution of tasks in the classroom. The objective of this study is to evaluate the motor abilities and of process of spastic children in Elementary School in order to identify functional aspects that can be stimulated by the teacher in the educational context. Two children with cerebral paralysis inserted in regular classrooms of Elementary School and their respective teachers will take part of it. The gathering of information will be made by means of two instruments, namely: script of interview applied personally to the teacher, objectifying the identification of three activities considered difficult for the child to perform, and School-AMPS. This one will be used to gather the information during the comment of the child in the accomplishment of the activities indicated by the teacher. On the basis of the comment, the performance of the child will be put in two scales that compose the School-AMPS, of motor abilities and of process. The preliminary analysis of the information of the School-AMPS will be made on the basis of the punctuation gotten by the child in each one of the item of the two scales. After the attribution of punctuations stage, it will be made a qualitative and statistics analysis of the information gotten. (AU)
