Abstract

This project aims to study the forms of appropriation of space as an interactive sound communication in recent musical production. The space, at least implicitly present in all Western music history, has gained effective notoriety in the sound communication since the electroacoustic music advent. In its first part, the project presents a historical and comparative study of the use of spatialization through the recognition of levels and types of interactivity and space in the contexts of electroacoustic music and sound art. In the second part, we propose a music spatialization in the context of granular synthesis, by developing a computational model of spatialization of granular sounds flows based on a definition of similarity of grain, taking into account their informational content.
