The properties of organic electronic polymers are mainly due to the used synthesis method. This project aim to study nanostructured polymeric functional materials based on conducting polymers, polyaniline and polypyrrole. Chemical methods of synthesis will be used to synthesize the nanostructured matrix. The catalysis applications of the organic electronic polymers-based nancomposites will be carreid out using polyaniline-Pt, polyaniline-PtRu, polypyrrole-Pt and polypyrrole-PtRu nancomposites. The main focus of this work will be the control of the properties of these nancomposites, such as morphology, size, surface area, porosity, thermal stability and processing parameters. The candidate will be closely in contact with the field of science and technology of functional polymers and nancomposites. This project is in agreement with the requirements of the Universidade Federal do ABC related to research. (AU)
