The accumulation of crop residues and fertilizers on the surface in no-tillage system accelerates the process of soil acidification. This process, continual in tropical soils, leads to low nutrient availability and high levels of Al+3. In conventional soil management, as well as in no tillage system it is necessary to apply inputs, especially, to correct acidity. Thus this research aims at assessing the influence of different crop systems and surface application of correctives on the physical characteristics, base movement, acidity correction, organic matter fractions, as well as nutrition and grain yield in a no tillage system in regions of dry winter. This project is a continuation of an experiment installed in the agricultural year 2006/2007, at the Lageado Experimental Farm, College of Agricultural Sciences - UNESP, Botucatu SP, and it will be carried out in the agricultural years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013. The plots consist of four production systems (System I "Season - forage" II. System "Season - off-season", III. System "Season - Fallow", IV. System "Season - Green Manure / Cover Plant ") and the subplots comprise two sources of acidity corrective applied in October 2006 and a control (I - Correction with dolomitic lime; II - Correction with calcium and magnesium silicate; III - no correction). The experimental design is a randomized block in a split-plot with eight replications. The following evaluations will be carried out: macronutrient and silicon levels , the sum of water-soluble cations, the electrical conductivity of plant extracts in all cultures, yield components and grain yield, soil chemical properties at 72 and 84 months after the corrective application, soil physical characteristics, quality of soil organic matter, residual lime after harvesting a second fall / winter crop (84 months after liming) and production cost.
