Study of transient accelerations of fetal heart rate analyzed by computerized cardiotocography in the third trimester of pregnancy

Abstract

The sympathetic and parasympathetic control of the movement is matured at different times during fetal development. Knowledge of this process is useful for understanding pathologies that may affect the fetus during its development. To better understand this process, computerized cardiotocography can be a useful method for analyzing the physiological patterns of fetal heart rate (FHR). Objectives: To study the patterns of transient FHR accelerations in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy, comparing the differences between the groups with 28 to 32 v/‡ and 33 to 40 weeks gestation. Methods: Prospective and comparative study, to compare the results of computerized cardiotocography of 46 low-risk pregnancies with a gestational age between 28 and 40 weeks in the Pre-Natal. The inclusion criteria are single pregnancy, live fetus, maternal age between 18 and 35 years old, gestational age between 28 and 40 weeks, absence of maternal morbidity, adequate fetal growth by ultrasound, understanding of the research method, and agreement to participate. Computerized cardiotocography will be held for 30 minutes to analyze the variables of the FCF. The patients included in the study are grouped according to gestational age into two groups: 28 to 31 v / ‡ and 32 to 40 weeks of gestation and intended to compare the different parameters of the FHR in these groups, highlighting the information regarding the frequency of transient accelerations observed.(AU)
