The traditional methods of treatment of metastatic melanoma are showing poor results, is incurable in most cases. Thus, a promising area of therapeutic research against cancer is Phytopharmacology, where several plant compounds may have effects on animal organisms as active ingredients, which depending on its concentration, may be useful in therapy. Given that this project is to evaluate the antioxidant activity of ethanol extracts and antimelanoma Annona crassiflora, Annona muricata and Annona squamosa, by testing the kidnapping of the DPPH radical, preliminary test of antitumor activity through inhibition of tumor induction Agrobacterium tumefaciens, discs of Solanum tuberosum and evaluate the induction of cell death in murine melanoma B16F10-Nex2 post-treatment in vitro, also evaluating the toxicity of the test cell by means of hemolysis. It is also objective of this project to quantify the phenols, flavonoids and total tannins present in different extracts.
