In this project the problem of multimarket optimal power flow should be addressed through a mathematical programming model that will yeild to reduce of operating costs of different types of generating units, such as hydro, thermal, wind, etc. and simultaneously control adjustments of reactive power in the system. This problem is characterized as a nonlinear mixed-integer non-convex problem, with continuous and discrete control variable. To solve this problem, search techniques along with classical optimization decomposition techniques highlighting the bilevel programming, Benders decomposition, Dantzig and Wolfe decomposition and Lagrangean relaxation are proposed.
