Abstract

The researches in Implant emphasize the optimization of implant surfaces, modified mechanical, physically or chemically, to improve bone healing. Recently, it was found that photobiomodulation of bone tissue with low intensity laser have accelerated bone healing. This study will evaluate the in vivo osteogenesis in commercial implants treated or untreated biomimetic (TB), and with or without laser therapy. Will be used 60 treated surface implants trademark Implant System National (SIN), which will be divided into four groups: a) Group 1: control, b) Group 2: treatment biomimetic implant; c) Group 3: implant + laser therapy; d) Group 4: treatment biomimetic implant + laser therapy. Laser therapy will be performed with low-power laser (Galium Arsenide Aluminum - ArGaAl) using parameters of 100 mW of continuous power, 808 nm wavelength and 23 J/cm2 of energy density. Before surgery, the surface of four treatment biomimetic implants will be characterized by energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). Fifteen rabbits will be used in this study to evaluate and compare the repair of bone around titanium implants by means of histology and histomorphometric analysis. Each rabbit will receive an implant of each group. Five rabbits were randomly selected, will be sacrificed 01, 02 and 06 weeks after surgery. The data obtained in histomorphometric analysis will be evaluated by ANOVA and Tukey test (p>0,05).
