Abstract

Complex systems is an area that has received an increasing interest in several areas of knowledge. Automats and complex networks have two fundamental cases of intersection where the two methods are combined, these studies will be based on systems that use only the method of cellular automata, complex networks isolated and hybrid approaches. This project proposes the study of complex networks and cellular automats applied in pattern recognition and cryptography. Two approaches are proposed: the first case Cellular automatas can move over complex networks and in the second the automata can generate graphs to be analyzed by techniques of complex networks. Furthermore, the proposal can also be applied in cryptography, since a hybrid model shows features of complex and chaotic systems, being able to generate sequences of pseudorandom numbers for use in encrypted messages.
