Abstract

The composer Carlo Gesualdo is a prime example of the final phase of the Renaissance period. His work and that of his contemporaries represent a unique style of music that was produced in the Renaissance and also of what was to be done in the Baroque, due to harmonic innovations and sudden sound results. The work of this composer, sophisticated and difficult to implement, requires a differentiated analysis so that we can understand your writing, and from there develop procedures to assist in the practical process. The aim of this project is to conduct a thorough survey of the main creation of the composer procedures as well as the historical and stylistic present in his work, in order to develop practical proposals for testing and implementation of its repertoire.
