This Masters research project proposal presented as the production of hybrid nanocomposite conductors of electricity and to evaluate its electrical and mechanical properties of short and long term, to be used in devices and conductive electromagnetic dissipation. Such composites are made of nanofibers produced by electrospinning technique of conducting polymers with carbon nanotubes and nanofibers with metallic copper. The composite structures are formed by alternating layers of nonwoven webs of electrospun nanofibers hybrid in thermosetting polymer matrices. The samples will be assessed on their morphological structure, viscoelastic properties, mechanical behavior of short and long-term (fatigue), electrical conductivity and electromagnetic dissipation. The morphological and mechanical characterization will be performed at the Department of Materials Engineering, Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) through the techniques of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMTA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and mechanical tests of short duration and fatigue. Measures electromagnetic dissipation and electrical conductivity will be held at the University of Calgary, Canada, in the laboratories of Prof. Uttandaraman Sundaraji. These measures are provided in the collaborative program FAPESP / CIAM, UFSCar between the University of Calgary. (AU)
