This investigation, of interpretive nature, aims at studying the theoretical-practical knowledge construction by language teachers under a sociocultural perspective, to understand how the dialogical process of knowledge construction which emerges from situated social, cultural and historical contexts is characterized. It takes place in a continuing education project which is offered to English teachers, involved in a collaborative action research, which aims at the (co)construction of the English teaching in public schools. It is theoretically informed by studies on the reflective approach and the sociocultural theory on teacher education. (AU)
