Recovery of nitrogen in leguminous inoculated with rhizosphere organisms (arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and Rhizobium spp): use of the 15N-isotope technique

Abstract

The work plan is based on recent work that Dr. Azcon has developed with certain rhizosphere microorganisms that improve nutrition, in symbiosis with plant roots, especially nitrogen, and plant development. These microorganisms are selected for their efficiency in ensuring the successful use in the soil plant that is the focus of the study, the main idea of training to meet and master the techniques used to study the dynamics of nitrogen in symbiotic systems and adapt them to our system, which uses of green manure, which operate the system with symbiotic bacteria (Rhizobium and Enterobacter spp) and mycorrhizae, in rotation with other crops such as sugar cane and vegetables. The effectiveness of double Rhizobium symbiosis caused by bacteria and fungi forming mycorrhizal colonization in legumes will be evaluated in terms of growth, nutrition, physiology and assimilation of atmospheric N2 (by scintigraphy). It also aims to examine the beneficial effects of these microorganisms in a rotation of legumes with other crops like vegetables. This residual effect of subsequent crops is also of agronomic and economic and due to the short period of time in Granada work rotation will be held in Brazil. The planned activities will be developed by the Department of Soil Microbiology and Symbiotic Systems Zaidin Experimental Station (CSIC). Researchers in this department are experienced in this type of study, and the use of techniques and methodologies they need. At the Institute there is any availability of equipment, techniques and greenhouses to conduct the investigation with complete success. (AU)
