Abstract

The cancer and the chemotherapy are agents which can carry the patients to lose emotional control, due the suffering by the altered body and the effects of the drugs. Considering the lack of clarity of the concept of quality of life and the results of its measure for the care of the patient and for the clinical practice, I propose this study with the aim of to interpret the meanings of quality of life attributed by colorectal cancer patients in chemotherapy. The research will be development by the medical anthropology and the ethnography. I will invite to participate the patients from a clinic of coloproctology of the public hospital. The date will be collect in the patient's home by participating observations and interviews, to interpret the date I will use the process of inductive thematic analysis. (AU)
