Abstract

This proposal concerns a research project to be developed at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA) during the Masters degree of Victor Fujii Ando. The research consists in the project optimization of a high-performance axial compressor. The streamline curvature technique and losses models, as well as a preliminary version of the compressor design computer program will be used. The optimization will be achieved using a commercial software.The procedures to be developed aim at calculation steps simplification, which are required in the project of this kind of equipment. Moreover, the use of computational resources allows a timely evaluation of many project configurations, which permits the acquisition of the best efficiency for a given application. (AU)
