The hypothesis of this study is that the use of formal auditory training can cause a plastic reorganization in the auditory system of patients with tinnitus, promoting an improvement in symptoms, due to the strengthening of synapses of the auditory and the synchrony of firing of the neurons involved in auditory processing. This improvement generated by auditory training can be observed through behavioral, electrophysiological and an improvement in quality of life of these individuals (identified through the questionnaire THI).The objective of this study is to assess the effectiveness of a program of formal auditory training in patients with tinnitus in remission or improvement of symptoms. For the composition of the two groups (RG - research group - and CG - control group) will be selected 20 individuals of both sexes for each group. It is noteworthy that the sex and age of the GC will be paired according to the RG. Exclusion criteria for this study are: hearing thresholds greater than 45 dB HL at all frequencies tested, changes in the results of impedance, changes in auditory processing known, use of alcohol, continued use of salicylates or neurological disorders known to both groups and tinnitus unsystematic and / or perception of tinnitus than a year ago, the latter two criteria applied only to the RG.Procedures: questionnaire about the history of disease and patient's hearing, tonal and vocal audiometry, imitanciometry, Auditory Evoked Potentials (Short, Middle and Long Latency); Acuphenometry; Tinnitus Handicap Inventory, two tests of auditory processing (GIN - Gaps In Noise and Speech in noise); formal auditory training sessions (TAF), a total of 8 sessions only for individuals with tinnitus. At the end of 8 sessions of TAF, individuals will undergo further assessment in the manner described above and the results will be compared before and after TAF.
