Abstract

Recently we have developed a new methodology to prepare spirocyclohexadienones from Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts. This method is based on the use of a Heck reaction associated to a phenolic oxidation mediated by hypervalent iodine reagents. This phD roject has as purpose increasing the scope of this method and prepare new spirocycloexadienones with different structural diversity. This structural diversity will allow us to evaluate the bactericide and anti-tumoral activities of these compounds. (AU)
