Abstract

Some of the most dumped in the river's waters, in general, are the biodegradable detergents, which also generate distrust in the population as to whether or not be pollutants that are commonly released as chemicals in aquatic environments and can generate changes in organisms that live in these areas. Given the growing concern of the general population about the effects of pollutants released in the wild and its effect on the fauna, this study intends to investigate the effects of pollutants in the water of Blue Lake and compared the effects of dilution water with a detergent biodegradable, compared with a control group treated with pure water, removed from the artesian well of UNESP - Rio Claro, in species of large fish: Prochilodus lineatus (Curimbatá) and small: Astyanax altiparanae (Lambari). The analysis will be carried out by identifying the changes in the histology and ultra - structure of gills and liver of animals, and to evaluate the effects of pollutants contained in water from Blue Lake and the dilution of detergents, the aging of organs, through the analysis and quantification of lipofuscin, a fluorescent pigment formed by a set of proteins that accumulate with cellular aging. This analysis, using techniques of histology, ultrastructure, fluorescence and molecular biology. (AU)
