Abstract

The aim of the present proposal is to develop analytical methods for determination of 26 harmful aromatic amines (IARC) able to detect and quantify these compounds in very small concentration as contaminants in sample of commercial hair dyes and water and wastewater. For this will be investigated the voltammetric oxidation of these aromatic amines on vitreous carbon electrode with and without modification by carbon nanotubes/ionic liquids in aqueous solution, with the aim to develop a system of liquid chromatography of high performance coupled to electrochemical (CLAE-ED) for amines determination. The effect of ionic liquid on chromatographic separation of these amines will be also investigated as supporting electrolyte added in mobile phase with the aim to improve the detection by liquid chromatography of high performance coupled to diode array detector (CLAE-DAD) and electrochemical detector (CLAE-ED), with the aim to improve the peak resolution, to reduce the retention time of analyte separation and to stabilize the baseline from chromatographic signals.
