Abstract

Samples of conductive plastdoped polianiline, obtained by the collaboration with researchers from CEA, Grenoble, France, will be the focus of this work. Electrical measurements, including a.c. and d.c. techniques will be performed at the Laboratory of Electrical Measurements, at UNESP, in Rio Claro, under coordination of Dr. Lygia Walmsley (advisor). Magnetoresistance measurements will be performed at the Laboratory of the Group of and Optical and Magnetic Properties of Solids, at IFGW, UNICAMP, under the coordination of Dr. Pascoal Pagliuso (co-advisor). It's also intended to investigate the influence of pressure in the transport properties of these polymers, which show high anisotropy between planar and transversal conductivities.Furthermore, the electrical properties of the multiferroic BiMn2O5 will be studied, with the samples obtained by the partnership with Dr. Eduardo Granado (IFGW/Síncrotron). This study, started by the candidate between 2007 and 2009, with FAPESP research grant (proc. no. 07/08054-1), allowed us to obtain totally new information regarding the behavior of the dielectric constant of this material at high temperatures. All the experimental setup prepared during the scientific initiation will be applied to the techniques developed throughout this project, and complementary methods will be implemented, building up a broad range of possibilities, which can give us more information about the electrical behavior of this class of materials.
