This research project is focused on the development and optimization of a chromatographic multiresidue separation method of several pesticides groups (carbamates, organophosphorous, pyrethroids, organochlorines, triazines, ureas, glycines, bypyridines, etc) aiming at the analytical application in urine samples of workers from agricultures activities. This analysis is relevant because many agricultural workers are exposed to a varied of pesticides without concern to the use of individual protection equipment as well as information about the handling and toxicity of these substances. Pesticides of differents chemicals groups will be chosen in agreement to its respective farming, where there's the occupational exposure. The samples will be collected from cities located in Campinas area by members of the Social and Preventive Medicine Department from HC of Unicamp. A procedure of chromatographic multiresidue separation will be optimized for daily analysis and structural confirmation by in LC-UV and LC-MS/MS, respectively. The variables responsible for chromatographic separation will be optimized by changes in mobile phase composition and alternatively with the Dry Lab. In case it is necessary, change in column and alterations on the temperature could be make, in order to get a fast method with high sensitivity and selectivity.
